If You’re Going To Do Something, Do It Right.

Sigh.

d1-86

Whoever’s this is, I’m disappointed.

1. A C-West GT-Type widebody kit with APR splitter, side mirrors and wing? That’s like wearing an Armani suit with an Alfani tie..

2. Is it me, or is the “front splitter” not wide enough for the car?

3. Um, the canards are nearly horizontal..

4. The C-West GT-Type widebody kit was designed for downforce, which is kind of useless with stretched tires.

5. Holy-ugly-wheels, Batman!

6. Angel, I sincerely hope this isn’t your car. I’d be especially disappointed since I’ve given you advice about the project before and could have even sold you a set of Craft Squares.

I was complaining about this to Logan, to which he said things like, “Bro, I don’t think this guy is doing any canard requiring driving.” But honestly..?

If you’re going to do something, do it right.

    I LOVE THAT CAR.

    you’re a hater.

    -AL not a hater Lagura

  2. I agree Dom. Seeing something quality like that and then running APR is just embarrassing. That front splitter and the mirrors have got to go. The canards in the pic dont look horrible but I still agree with you on those too.

The car looks like it is trying extra hard for HIN props.

Reminds me of my frustration with F&F changed out my craftsquare mirrors for APR mirrors last minute one one of our red S2000s for the film. At least I expect tuning/car ignorance from the set designers there who mess with the cars…but an owner of the car really should know better than do to a car nice and then run APR mirrors.

  3. Hey

    I own an Alfani suit!!!

    :(

  4. logan = fail.

    lol i kid i kid.

hey man at least it has real something…..then again to be hated on by dom is more or less an honor nowadays. hes just flat out lazy as of late and just wants to sit at home be emo and drink his problems away while watching f1.

  5. Bartholomew Says:

Hello. I’m in need of a suit(s) and currently debating between Men’s Wearhouse and Hollywood Suit Outlet… any suggestions/opinions/advice/comments? Men’s Wearhouse has Buy 1 Get 1 Free… Hollywood Suit Outlet has 3 suits for $199.

  6. He is a car show guy, they do some pretty weird things. He doesn’t need a splitter or wing, because he is a show car guy.
    The wheels are gross though.

  7. I vote that mike opens a high end clothing store

  8. 3 suits
    3 shirts
    3 ties
    3 handkerchiefs

    Come down

    I give you good deal

  9. logan you forgot “bro”

    as in

i give you good deal “bro”

  10. haha.. i love it

  11. Okay…okay…points taken! However, it’s what I like and yes, if and when I race it there will be some changes. But, it is curious that with this “alfani” we did walk away with Best JDM at Spocom this year. As is reflected in these threads, sometimes an Alfani is more than enough to get her in bed….
But seriously Dom, I appreciate all of the help and advice and I was devastated when you decided to sell your S15. Keep up the good work…and don’t worry the S15 is still evolving!

  12. yeah i dont think you can go wrong with best of jdm!!!!

  13. no offense, but the SpoCom show is horrid.

  14. Angel….agreed! You can’t deny that cars respect after seeing it in person. The picture doesn’t even depict the car in its right colors. Apparently DOM doesn’t like APR, well whatever, because we must not be as rich as him and envy him enough to make him and EVERYONE else happy. It’s not possible. I know personally that the car isn’t even close to being finished. That car WILL see the track, but right now, it’s still too young! Enjoy, and stop hatin…

  15. Hey, if you guys like cheap parts, then that’s your prerogative. I happen to believe that as car builders we should be using only the highest quality parts which represent the pinnacle of both performance and aesthetics. And that we should be maximizing the potential of the parts we choose to use on our cars. To do anything less in either situation would be irresponsible to both the manufacturers and other individuals who interpret our work.

So go ahead, use poor product. Feel free to perpetuate what so many hate about this industry. Just don’t expect me to censor myself simply because you refuse to do the best job you can.

And I say “you” in reference to “that demographic” out there, not in specific reference to Angel. Angel, keep doing what you want to do. I may not agree with it or condone it, but in the end all that matters is what YOU think of it, not me.
