Some Random Observations While in Taiwan
Posted in Rants / Emo-isms on March 4, 2009 by Dom- Tons of kids wear chucks in Taiwan, which makes me want to throw mine away.
- The girls that department stores use in their lingerie posters are not attractive.
- People don’t sound angry when they speak Mandarin in Taiwan, but it doesn’t make the language sound any less ugly.
- The language is ugly.
- You know how people in Monterey Park are the worst drivers ever? I have reason to believe that they are all former drivers from Taiwan. The resemblance is staggering.
- I thought “streetwear” here was bad. It’s a whole other level of ostentatiousness there.
- It’s official. Annoying college kids transcend international boundaries.
- My hatred for the fade haircut also transcends international boundaries.
- The language is ugly.
- For some reason, people seem to think it’s socially acceptable to pick your nose in public. I’m talking full on geological excavation, contort-the-entire-shape-of-your-face style.
- Seeing a semi-attractive white girl with a Taiwanese I-have-too-much-money-so-I-think-it’s-okay-to-dress-like-I’m-European-and-have-long-rainbow-colored-bangs-with-the-rest-of-my-hair-buzzed douchebag is extremely upsetting, regardless of the fact that the white girl gave off the aura of a hired extended-stay-escort.
- Since so many fake goods come from Taiwan, you might think that people would have fake tits as well. This is not the case.
- Stinky tofu is, in fact, too stinky for me to enjoy.
- The language is ugly.
